The Master\u2019s <strong>scholarship in Public Policy and Good Governance, and Development Studies programmes aims to support future leaders from selected areas of interest<\/strong> including Law, Business Politics and Administration and <strong>prepare selected candidates for future professional activities in a practice oriented manner<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Applicants for the programme are graduates <strong>who have completed a Bachelor\u2019s degree and are interested in pursuing a Master\u2019s degree<\/strong> in the fields related to social, political and economic development. Selected students <strong>will enrol in a 2 years master\u2019s programme in Governance and Public policy or Development Studies at the University of Passau in Germany<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Before beginning their Master\u2019s Studies, students <strong>must take a German language course that lasts around 6 months<\/strong>. The language course usually starts in April and ends in September. Upon completion of the language course, students will then enrol in their Master\u2019s Studies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><strong>Please Note:<\/strong> Although the German language course is compulsory (because the M.A Governance and Public policy is bilingual programme) scholarship holders have the choice of studying the whole scheme in English language.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Benefits<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Selected students will receive the following benefits for the entire duration of their studies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text is-stacked-on-mobile\"><figure class=\"wp-block-media-text__media\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/bwinnhacai.com\/htqt\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/55\/2024\/06\/daad-1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4489 size-full\" \/><\/figure><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>You will receive a <strong>monthly stipend of 931 Euros<\/strong> to take care of your daily living expenses.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Selected students will also be eligible for <strong>Health Insurance coverage<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You will also receive <strong>travel allowances for your journey from your home country to Germany<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>There is also a <strong>study and research grant<\/strong> provided to all selected students.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You will also be eligible for <strong>rent subsidiaries and family supplements<\/strong> whenever applicable.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The <strong>German Language course<\/strong> will aslo be sponsored by the programme.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Students receive extra support by the Helmut-Schmidt-Programme Team and extracurricular activities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Eligibility\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To apply for the programme, you must meet the following selection criteria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Applicants must be <strong>coming from developing and emerging countries<\/strong> in order to apply.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You must have <strong>completed a Bachelor\u2019s degree in the field of political science, social science, law, economics or public administration<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Applicants must demonstrate <strong>interest in contributing to the social and economic development of their home countries<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You must also have accumulated at least <strong>4 months of professional or practical experience<\/strong> in any field relevant to the programme.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Applicants must also demonstrate <strong>sufficient English language proficiency<\/strong> equivalent to a <strong>B2 level<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If your previous studies at your previous University were delivered in English, you may not need an English Language Certificate.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Application<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Applications open June 1, 2024<\/strong>. To complete your application, you must fill the online application form and submit the required attachment by the <strong>deadline of July 31, 2024<\/strong>. You must complete the online application form using the application portal provided to candidates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You will need to submit the following documents:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Motivation letter<\/strong> clearly stating your academic and professional history and reasons for applying for the scholarship.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>A curriculum vitae in Europas format<\/strong> with information on your study and professional experience.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Your <strong>Higher Education Transcripts, certificates and diplomas<\/strong>. These should be in English or German.
