The event not only provided a multi-dimensional view of the potential of the language from the Land of Kimchi but also created a unique space to experience Korean culture, helping pupils and students approach the language and culture in a vivid and relatable way.

The program was organized by the Korean Language Program under the Faculty of Languages and Psychology in collaboration with Keduall Educational Organization. The event featured Dr. Lee Yu In, a Korean Language and Culture expert with over 10 years of teaching experience at Korean universities. She is also a former scriptwriter for major television networks such as KBS, MBC, and SBS, and has participated in many international programs, contributing to teaching and spreading Korean culture in Vietnam.

At the seminar, the speaker delivered practical and relatable content, starting by pointing out interesting cultural similarities between Vietnam and Korea in daily life, helping learners approach Korean naturally and with full inspiration. Meanwhile, the Hallyu wave and the influence of K-pop were highlighted as an important “lever” to spread the Korean language globally. Next, the speaker went deep into decoding the Hangeul writing system with its scientific and logical structure based on the philosophy of Heaven, Earth, and Humanity. This was combined with interactive activities such as singing the “Ka na ta ra” alphabet song, practicing writing names, and combining letters, helping attendees approach the language visually and effectively. In addition, insights shared about career opportunities in the context of growing Vietnam – Korea cooperation opened up many directions for learners, as Korean becomes a competitive advantage in multinational corporations and various fields such as commerce, tourism, beauty, entrepreneurship, and content creation.

Particularly, participants felt Korean culture more deeply and vividly through experiencing the Hanbok traditional costume and the traditional knotting art (Maedeup), where they manually created lucky knots and felt the cleverness and meticulousness of Korean handicrafts.

In the context of Korea’s increasing investment in Vietnam and the continuous expansion of Korean enterprises, there is a growing demand for human resources who are both proficient in Korean and deeply understand the culture of the Land of Kimchi. Mastering Korean today will create an outstanding advantage for students in the labor market. This is the time for pupils and students to proactively seize opportunities and clearly define their development paths. FROM THEORY TO PRACTICE: Bwin nhà cái chính thức ENGLISH LINGUISTICS STUDENTS “POCKET” EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION SKILLS FROM LIFE TO THE WORKPLACE. https://linkbwin.com/nn/en/from-theory-to-practice-hsu-english-linguistics-students-pocket-effective-communication-skills-from-life-to-the-workplace/ Tue, 26 May 2026 04:26:04 +0000 https://linkbwin.com/nn/?p=11074 In today’s academic and professional landscape, exchanging information effectively is an essential requirement in almost all working environments. Good communication is not simply about speaking eloquently, but about delivering the right information to the right person, at the right time, in the right way, and aiming for the listener to best understand the messages that the speaker wants to express.

Workshop: “Communication in Work – Life”, part of the Engpower Workshop Series – EP.5 organized by the English Linguistics Program (Faculty of Languages – Psychology), took place successfully, attracting a large number of lecturers and students to participate.

With the accompaniment of two talented and experienced speakers, Mr. Nguyen Tan Loc (M.A.) – Senior Capability Development Manager of Abbott Vietnam and Ms. Phan Vu Thien Chau – Marketing Manager of Abbott Vietnam, the workshop helped students better understand Effective Communication and how to communicate effectively.

The program was a space for lecturers and students to co-explore how to have Effective Communication based on two main theoretical frameworks: Johari Window and Communication Matrix. Through professional sharing and practical experiences, the speakers brought a comprehensive perspective on the concept of an “effective communicator” in today’s academic and working context, while emphasizing the importance of understanding, listening, and the ability to master personal emotions when communicating. From there, participants realized that communication is not only about speaking but also about listening to and understanding the listener, creating connections and leading positive emotions to bring opportunities in both work and life.

The highlight of the workshop was a series of experiential activities such as group work, role-playing, and quizzes, etc. Participants not only approached the concept of Effective Communication from a theoretical perspective but also directly participated in experiencing the role of a Trade Manager, learning more about how to analyze and solve difficulties at work as well as managing and operating a department, knowing more about the reality of the future working environment.

The discussion, Q&A, and mini-game sessions took place extremely vibrantly, creating a close and positive energy-filled learning atmosphere. Through this workshop, English Linguistics students, especially those majoring in Business English and Corporate Communication, not only expanded their perspective on communication in the new era but were also injected with motivation to step-by-step become working people with sharp thinking, and the ability to understand, empathize, and inspire in the future.
