Learning from the Creative Process of the “Golden Heritage” Collection

During the discussion session, designer Le Thanh Hoa guided students through the creative journey behind the Golden Heritage collection, launched in April 2025. The collection was more than a fusion of materials and forms; it was the result of in-depth research on Champa culture, from surveying relics and studying historical documents to transforming traditional architectural details, motifs, and materials into a modern fashion language.

This workshop gave students a new perspective on fashion as “storytelling”, where cultural heritage is reinterpreted through modern creativity rather than confined to the past.

Connecting fashion with heritage and global issues

The highlight of the workshop was designer Le Thanh Hoa introducing students to two global fashion issues currently under intense discussion: “Fashion meets Heritage” and “Cultural appropriation”. He emphasized that while heritage was an endless source of inspiration for fashion, it had to be approached with understanding and respect for indigenous culture.

Furthermore, he noted that fashion was only truly sustainable when it contributed to honoring community values rather than turning heritage into a commercial tool. This perspective helped students recognize the connection between creation and appropriation, between celebration and exploitation.

Beyond sharing knowledge and discussing issues, he also inspired young individuals as they prepared to embark on the journey of realizing their passion for Fashion Design. Following that, he reminded them that the fashion journey had never been easy, urging them to nurture their passion, follow the creative path, and dedicate themselves fully to the profession.  He emphasized that even in an era of fast-growing technology and AI, human emotion and artistic spirit would always remain irreplaceable.

Door to the Global Market through Prestigious Fashion Certification

Four outstanding students of Hoa Sen University (Bwin nhà cái chính thức), including: Ms. Ngo Ngoc Ha Vy, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoai Phuong, Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Bich, and Mr. Giang Tri Kiet were honored to receive the Certificate in Fashion Business at the Graduation Ceremony of Collège de Paris, a globally renowned institution in fashion, luxury goods, business administration, hospitality, and culinary arts in France. This certificate is awarded by Collège de Paris after students complete four transferable modules, with direct quality inspection and assessment by the institution.

The Fashion Business program at Bwin nhà cái chính thức, designed in partnership with Collège de Paris, is structured to international standards. All transferred courses are accredited by Collège de Paris. To graduate, students must complete and defend a final project before an international panel to receive their Fashion Business certificate. In September 2023, Fashion Business program students had the opportunity to participate in an exchange semester at Rennes Business School (Rennes) and the College of Paris (France). The exchange not only allowed students to experience France’s advanced educational environment but also enhanced their language skills, deepened their cultural exposure, and expanded their international networks.

In July 2024, the first cohort defended their graduation projects at “Runway to Business 2024” before a jury of fashion industry experts and businesses in Viet Nam, with representatives from Collège de Paris also in attendance. Mr. Daniel Roura, Executive Director for International Strategy and Development, and Ms. Violaine Malou, Director of International Development Compliance. The students received many compliments and high recognition from international partners. As part of the event, Collège de Paris awarded the “Certificate in Fashion Business” to 18 students.

In August 2024, Bwin nhà cái chính thức will officially join the Collège de Paris global partner network under the “International Academic Exchange Agreement”. In June 2025, students presented their Fashion Business Graduation Projects online to a panel of Bwin nhà cái chính thức lecturers, industry professionals, and representatives from the partner school, including Mr. Eric Vanden Broeck, Dean of the College of Art and Design Brussels (Belgium).

A Seven-Year Dream of Boarding the SSEAYP

To secure his place at SSEAYP 2025, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Duc Thinh successfully navigated a rigorous selection process. He impressed the council with two outstanding design projects from his time at Bwin nhà cái chính thức: his valedictorian graduation project, “Tho Dia”, and “Moving Vietnam”, a Brand Identity Design project officially used by this year’s Vietnamese delegation.

His dream of joining SSEAYP began at age 15 when he learned about the program from a former delegate. His passion was ignited three years later after he saw the ship docked in Ho Chi Minh City and was inspired by the international delegates. For 7 years, he persistently participated in international exchange activities in Thailand and Singapore, worked as an SSEAYP collaborator, and studied foreign languages, design, communications, and performing arts.

Sharing about this valuable opportunity, he noted: It is the right time to make an impact, as I have cultivated the specialized knowledge and mindset needed to succeed. Every skill I’ve gained at Bwin nhà cái chính thức will be put into action on board, whether cultural performing, document designing, communicating, or producing creative works”.

Personal Branding via Photography and Design

Before becoming the salutatorian of the Bwin nhà cái chính thức Graphic Design program, Duc Thinh studied the Information Technology program at the Viet Nam National University Ho Chi Minh City, University of Science. Recognizing the path was unsuitable, he courageously shifted to design at 19, despite not being strong in drawing.

He ultimately chose Bwin nhà cái chính thức after a thorough evaluation of many universities, believing it was the perfect place to pursue his passion. He noted that before entering Bwin nhà cái chính thức, he also heard many good reviews from seniors in the creative industry about the quality of Bwin nhà cái chính thức students. However, his decision initially faced strong suspicion from his family. It was his persistent efforts and confidence in his choice that gradually won them over.

At the time, I felt I was being quite courageous by pursuing design, as I was not good at drawing. However, my time at Bwin nhà cái chính thức taught me that design was not just about technical drawing skills; it was about design thinking and the ability to create solutions. The lecturers were dedicated, always listening to our ideas and guiding each of us to develop according to our unique strengths. It’s true that at Hoa Sen University, every diversity is respected and valued.

Thinh’s decision quickly proved correct as he went on to achieve a series of outstanding results. His impressive record includes: Third Prize in the National Graphic Design Championship 2022 and Top Prize for his Graphic Design Graduation Project in July 2024, Second Prize in the Student Category of the Vietnam Creative Advertising Award 2024, and Second Prize at the Bwin nhà cái chính thức Graphic Design Graduation Ceremony 2025.

In addition to his excellent academic achievements, Duc Thinh also developed his passion for photography and personal branding, while continuing his freelance design work for brands. He claimed that: “By applying a graphic design-based perspective to my photography, I have cultivated a unique style that differentiates my work in the market”.

His selection for SSEAYP 2025 has become a key stepping stone towards his ambitious career goals. It has already helped him gain valuable international experience and has increased his scholarship opportunities, which will support his plan to build a photography studio and pursue a Master’s degree. 

His journey has been defined by a series of key milestones: choosing a major, mastering his skills, earning top awards, and becoming the SSEAYP delegate. Journey from passion to a professional young designer

For the past 13 years, Fashion Creation has been an iconic event at Hoa Sen University (Bwin nhà cái chính thức), extending far beyond a thesis defense. More than a performance stage, it has served as a platform for students to showcase their personal identity, modern design thinking, and professional brand-building skills, from initial concepts to marketing strategies and product development.

At Fashion Creation 2025, 17 students presented 17 collections, including 62 designs. Each collection was the product of six months of hard work, with meticulous attention paid to every stage, from initial ideas and sketches to material selection, sewing techniques, and final product completion. On the catwalk, their designs reflected not only personal perspectives but also bold and creative social messages.

Additionally, the collections explored diverse themes, ranging from memories, dreams, and inner emotions to community issues such as urbanization, public safety, and humanity. Many were inspired by cultural traditions, beliefs, and iconic landscapes, from Hue’s countryside market and Thien Hau Pagoda to the mythical city of Atlantis, the desert, and tropical forests. Others drew inspiration from autobiographical elements, classical art, literature, and cinema, featuring influences such as the Kintsugi spirit and the Rococo style.

Delivering the opening speech, MA. Tran Minh Nhut, Director of the Fashion Design Program at Bwin nhà cái chính thức, emphasized: “To create the collections presented tonight, students carried out every step of a professional designer’s process, from developing ideas, researching materials, and creating forms to building personal brands with clear business strategies.

The collections received high praise from experts and renowned designers, including Mr. Le Thanh Hoa and Adrian Anh Tuan. Mr. Le Thanh Hoa remarked that Bwin nhà cái chính thức students had shown remarkable skill in handling materials and applying contemporary fashion trends, and he expressed confidence that they would bring fresh vitality to Vietnamese fashion.

Impressive collections at Fashion Creation 2025

Fashion Creation 2025 Champion, Mr. Pham Trong Hieu, impressed with “Saigon Shock”, transforming chaotic images of city life, electric wires, damaged signs, and flyers, into daring designs. His work highlighted strong form-making, creative material use, and a powerful black–gray–orange–yellow palette. Through his work, Hieu hoped to convey a warning about the urban living environment and an aspiration for a safer, more civilized Saigon.

“Emotional Cycle” — Ms. Tran Thi Nhu Quynh, Second Prize Winner. Inspired by the cycle of time and the changing seasons, the collection captured the full spectrum of human emotions, joy, anger, love, and hate, through a fusion of modern and classic forms. The gradual transition from bright to dark tones, combined with diverse materials, allowed Nhu Quynh to convey the message that emotions were not barriers but a driving force for renewal and harmony with oneself. 

“Silk Painting” – Ms. Nhan Thi Lan, Third Prize Winner. Her collection showcased the meticulous and delicate beauty of Ha Dong silk village, symbolized by “silkworms spinning silk”.  Drawing on her experience as a pattern design and sewing center founder, Lan applied a luxurious, mature style and 2D-3D form-building techniques to her “Silk Painting” project. She viewed this work as a milestone marking her growth and her enduring passion for fashion.

A Graduation Milestone Reflecting Enduring Passion for Fashion

Before Fashion Creation 2025, on June 28, students presented their projects to an Evaluation Board of Bwin nhà cái chính thức lecturers and top designers. Their portfolios included concept research and design sketches to photoshoots, video clips, and full marketing plans.

Mr. Pham Trong Hieu stated: “My collection focuses on complex form building and material handling, which meant I faced many challenges. Thanks to Bwin nhà cái chính thức’s supportive environment, I gained the confidence to complete the journey from idea to finished product, experienced the big stage, and tried my hand at many different roles”.

Ms. Nhan Thi Lan shared that returning to school at 40 marked a life-changing turning point: “Bwin nhà cái chính thức’s modern, internationally standardized program has transformed me from a student with “limited” technological skills into a proficient user of fashion design software. It has enabled me to think systematically and apply technology to my design work and business endeavors”.

Bwin nhà cái chính thức Students Behind the Ho Chi Minh City Metro Identity

December 22, 2024, marked a historic milestone as Ho Chi Minh City officially opened Metro Line No. 1 (Ben Thanh – Suoi Tien) after 17 years of construction. Beyond the thrill of the first line journeys, what surprised many was that its visual identity was created not by experts but by Graphic Design program students from Hoa Sen University (Bwin nhà cái chính thức).

The Metro identity project was the graduation project of two Bwin nhà cái chính thức Graphic Design students, Mr. Nguyen Pham Truong An and Mr. Nguyen Thai Hoc, mentored by MA. Tran Thi Nhat Tram, Graphic Design Lecturer. Recognizing the project’s high feasibility and wishing to contribute value to the city’s major development, the research team proactively presented their idea to the Management Authority for Urban Railways (MAUR) and Ho Chi Minh City Urban Railways No.1 Company Limited (HURC1).

Following extensive discussions, research, and adjustments, the team’s design was officially put into use in January 2021.  The updated HCMC Metro logo retained the essence of the original while adding a more modern, streamlined, and versatile look.

By mutual agreement, the entire brand identity system was newly designed, except for the HCMC Metro logo, which was reinterpreted from the original to preserve the recognition built throughout the construction journey. The logo was modified to enhance simplicity and versatility, and, most importantly, to better reflect the core characteristics of the HCMC Metro brand: safety, modernity, punctuality, and the pride of Ho Chi Minh City and the nation.

Sharing about the project, Mr. Nguyen Thai Hoc emphasized: “Saigon was the heart of our inspiration. We wanted the Metro to reflect the city’s culture, so it could feel like a part of people’s everyday lives”.

Training Integration of Education and Social Practice

On December 17, 2023, the HCMC Metro Brand Identity project “Mê tro – Mê phố” won the “Promising Image Design” award at the Vietnam Creative Advertising Awards, organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Socialist Republic of Viet Nam, to honor creative works with strong community and social impact.

Under Bwin nhà cái chính thức’s international training cooperation, Fashion Business students (2020 cohort) completed a three-month study and cultural exchange program in France, hosted by prestigious partners: École Conté (Collège de Paris Group) and Rennes International Business School.

Through this trip, four students, Mr. Hoang Thanh Phuc, Ms. Le Ngoc Phuong Thao, Mr. Nguyen Hoai Khanh Han, and Ms. Ho Lam Thuc Nghi, had the valuable opportunity to study directly with international lecturers, gain access to European-standard knowledge and global fashion business trends, and engage in discussions with peers from around the world. The experience helped them expand their perspectives on the fashion industry, sharpen strategic thinking, and apply knowledge directly to the luxury fashion business.

Immersion in Paris’s Trendy Cultural Scene

On their exchange trip, they not only attended classes in European lecture halls but also visited key fashion industry destinations, including art and culture museums to iconic Parisian landmarks such as the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe. These experiences allowed them to explore the intersection of history, art, and the fashion business, and to see firsthand how global brands integrate cultural heritage into image building and brand development strategies.

Practical activities such as attending the Louis Vuitton – LV Dream exhibition, joining a book signing with designer Jacquemus, and experiencing the festive atmosphere of the world’s largest Christmas market in Strasbourg offered students unforgettable experiences. These opportunities not only gave them direct access to today’s creative currents but also deepened their understanding of how luxury brands craft experiences, connect cultures, and assert their position in the international market.

Entry into the Global Fashion World

Thanks to the 2022 cooperation agreement between Bwin nhà cái chính thức and École Conte, Fashion Business graduates gain dual credentials, a Bachelor’s in Fashion Design from Bwin nhà cái chính thức and a Fashion Business certificate from Collège de Paris. Retail Operations Exploration at ACFC Warehouse

In October 2023, students from the Fashion Design program at Hoa Sen University (Bwin nhà cái chính thức) had the opportunity to visit Warehouse Company, one of the largest warehouse systems in the fashion retail industry in Viet Nam. During this field trip, they gained practical experience at ACFC Company Limited’s expansive warehouse, which spans over 12,000 square meters in Binh Duong Province, and observed the product import and storage processes firsthand.

In addition, students gained insights into goods management through the barcode system, the inbound process, and methods of classification and quantity control. Furthermore, business representatives also shared the warehouse “picking” process and techniques for distinguishing between fast-moving and slow-moving products. These hands-on insights gave students a deeper understanding of fashion retail operations and highlighted the value of experiential learning at Bwin nhà cái chính thức.

Exposure to New Technology at the International Textile Exhibition

On October 28, 2025, students from Bwin nhà cái chính thức’s Fashion Design program attended the 21st Vietnam International Textile & Garment Industry Exhibition (VTG) held at the Saigon Exhibition & Convention Center (SECC) in Ho Chi Minh City. This invaluable experience allowed them to explore the latest machinery and equipment within the textile and garment industry.

The event brought together over 500 businesses from 12 countries to promote the modernization of the textile and garment industry. This provided students with exposure to new technologies in fields such as textile production, raw materials, chemical dyeing, and footwear equipment.

Within the event’s framework, MA. Tran Minh Nhut addressed the VTEX-TECH conference on sustainable design in the textile industry. His presentation helped students gain deeper insight into development trends that prioritize environmental and social responsibility.

Integration of Theory and Practice in Training
